India, Oct. 20 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday called INS Vikrant "a symbol of India's self-reliance and Make in India" during his customary Diwali celebrations with the Indian Armed Forces.
Modi, who has always celebrated his Diwali with the Armed Forces since he became the PM, spent Diwali this year with the Navy personnel onboard INS Vikrant off the coast of Goa and Karwar (Karnataka).
Speaking to the personnel, Modi renewed his pitch for self-reliance or Aatmanirbharta in all spheres of life including Defence, where a large sum of money is allocated for indigenous weapons.
