India, Sept. 3 -- US President Donald Trump has backed his trade action on New Delhi once again, claiming that "India kills us with tariffs" and started to drop levies only after his tariff imposition.

"They have tariffs against us. China, which kills us with tariffs. India kills us with tariffs. Brazil kills us" with tariffs, Trump said in an interview with The Scott Jennings Radio Show on Tuesday.

He claimed that India started dropping the tariffs only after the US imposed a tax on New Delhi.

The US President went on to justify why tariffs are important.

However, this is not the first time Trump has made this claim.
