Gadag (Karnataka), July 18 -- A Hindu man who married a Muslim woman has accused her family of pressuring him to convert to Islam after their wedding, media reports said.

A formal complaint was lodged at the Town police station on Wednesday.

However, Tahashin disclosed the relationship to her mother.

The couple registered their marriage on November 26, 2024.

He agreed, hoping for a peaceful life together.

Vishalkumar added that once videos of the mosque wedding circulated on social media, his own family insisted on solemnising the marriage again as per Hindu tradition.

The ceremony was scheduled and held in front of his house on June 5, 2025.
