Mumbai/IBNS, Dec. 31 -- Bollywood actress Nushrratt Bharuccha's recent visit to the Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain has sparked controversy, drawing sharp reactions from sections of the Muslim community.

Nushrratt offered prayers to Lord Mahakal and participated in Hindu religious rituals, including pouring water at the temple. The 40-year-old actress later shared a picture from the visit on her Instagram story, captioning it, "Jai Shree Mahakal."

He further advised the actress to perform tauba (repentance), recite istegfar (seeking forgiveness) and read the kalma, according to media reports.
