New Delhi/IBNS, March 9 -- India has condemned the vandalism carried out at a popular Hindu temple in US's California days ahead of a so-called 'Khalistani referendum' in Los Angeles and called upon law enforcement authorities to take strict action against the perpetrators.

Calling such acts "despicable", Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal has said local authorities should ensure adequate security in places of worship.
