India, Dec. 16 -- Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday proposed doubling bilateral trade with Jordan to US$ 5 billion over the next five years.

Both leaders emphasized the importance of strengthening business-to-business ties and urged industry leaders from both countries to convert opportunities into sustainable growth and prosperity. King Abdullah highlighted the potential of combining Jordan's Free Trade Agreements with India's economic strength to create a strategic economic corridor connecting South Asia, West Asia, and beyond.
