India, Nov. 25 -- Listed online travel aggregator (OTA) Yatra has elevated cofounder and CEO Dhruv Shringi to the role of executive chairman and appointed Siddhartha Gupta as the CEO.

In his new role, Shringi will work closely with the board and the leadership team with a "sharp focus on global expansion, innovation, and shareholder value creation", the company said in a statement.

Shringi has been serving as the CEO of the travel tech company since it was set up in 2006. "It has been a privilege to lead Yatra since its inception and to see it evolve into one of India's most trusted and innovative travel brands, serving both corporate and consumer segments." Shringi said in the statement.
