India, Feb. 26 -- Tech major Wipro has committed $200 Mn to its venture arm, Wipro Ventures, to accelerate investments in early to mid-stage startups.

In an exchange filing on February 26, the company said that this would be the fourth round of funding for its venture arm since its inception in 2015.

Founded in 2015, Wipro Ventures identifies and backs "high-potential early-stage startups" that can help the company deliver differentiated value to its clients. Wipro said that its venture arm has backed 37 startups operating in sectors like artificial intelligence, data and analytics, cybersecurity and cloud infrastructure to date.
