India, Feb. 19 -- Visa processing platform Atlys has acquired visa service company Artionis' UK subsidiary in an all-cash deal to expand overseas.

In a statement, Atlys said that the acquisition of Artionis UK, which is known for its exclusive rights in processing UK-to-Russia visas, will add to its technical capabilities in the European market.

It said that the deal will allow it to reduce visa paperwork and offer timely services to the travellers in the UK, followed by plans to expand in similar European markets, including Germany and France.
