India, July 23 -- Mumbai's transport commissioner office reportedly sought explanation from app-based cab aggregators Ola, Uber and Rapido on how they determine their fares as the drivers' unions have agreed to keep their strike on pause.
Additional transport commissioner Bharat Kalaskar told TOI that the department had separate meetings with the union leaders and the officials of the cab aggregator apps yesterday.
"We had two meetings on Tuesday with firm officials and union leaders. After discussions, we decided that Ola, Uber and Rapido should provide us with a written explanation on how they determine the app-based fares for cabs and rickshaws in various cities, and how much they differ from the RTO-approved rate," Kalaskar told TOI...
