India, May 23 -- Taking another shot at Apple's manufacturing plans for India, US president Donald Trump has said that the company would have to pay at least 25% tariff on iPhones manufactured outside the country and sold in the North American nation.
In a post on his social media platform Truth Social, Trump said Apple would have to manufacture and sell the iPhones in the US or face the tariff.
This comes a week after Trump told Apple CEO Tim Cook to stop manufacturing in India.
"We are not interested in you building in India. India can take care of themselves", Trump said he told Cook at an event in Qatar.
