India, Aug. 5 -- After Mumbai, Tesla may soon be zipping down Delhi roads.
The Elon Musk-run electric vehicle major is set to open its first showroom in the Capital on August 11, marking its second retail outlet in India after Mumbai.
According to an NDTV report, the showroom will be located at Worldmark, Aerocity, near Indira Gandhi International Airport.
Tesla began its India operations last month, rolling out its Model Y SUV at its Mumbai showroom. The vehicle is being imported as a completely built unit (CBU) from Tesla's Shanghai factory.
The company has also taken on lease a 33,000 sq ft retail and service space on Sohna Road in Gurugram for INR 40 Lakh a month. The lease is for nine years.
