India, Jan. 28 -- Tata Projects has reportedly said that it is set to complete the construction work of Micron Technology's semiconductor assembly and test facility near Ahmedabad by the year end.
As per PTI, citing project director of Tata Projects Amit Agrawal, 60% of the work on India's first semiconductor plant has already been completed, the rest will be finished by the end of this year.
The semiconductor facility at Sanand is expected to create around 20,000 job opportunities and could be the world's largest backend semiconductor fab unit.
