India, June 26 -- Ride-hailing unicorn Rapido has launched a new service to allow users to directly book Delhi Metro tickets on its app through Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) integration.

The ride-hailing giant has signed a strategic partnership with the ONDC and Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) to roll out the new feature. The offering is now live and allows users to plan and pay for metro travel without switching platforms to recharge their cards or buy tokens.

Besides ticketing, the company also announced new last-mile transit offerings in partnership with DMRC. These include designated pick-up and drop-off points at select stations, dedicated pick-up zones for women, and "discounts" on metro tickets booked via Rapido ap...
