India, Oct. 16 -- With an eye on making streaming services more inclusive for visually and hearing-impaired users, the Centre today reportedly informed the Delhi High Court (HC) that accessibility guidelines for OTT platforms would be finalised in the next three months.
As per news agency PTI, the government submitted an undertaking that the information ministry (MIB) has already issued draft guidelines on the matter for feedback from stakeholders and the general public. The HC is said to have taken the document on record.
". It is further assured and undertaken that the final guidelines shall be issued within three months. No further directions are required to be passed in the present petition," Justice Sachin Datta reportedly noted.
