India, Aug. 15 -- At Ola Electric's flagship annual event Sankalp, founder and chairman Bhavish Aggarwal today (August 15) made a slew of new announcements.

While addressing the gathering at Ola Gigafactory in Tamil Nadu's Krishnagiri, Aggarwal unveiled the electric vehicle (EV) maker's new S1 Pro Sport model, priced at nearly INR 1.5 Lakh.

The new electric scooter features Ola Electric's in-house 13 kW Feriite motor that delivers a peak power of 16 kW and 71 Nm of torque. Its deliveries will start in January 2026.

In a statement, Ola Electric said that the new motor, designed and developed in-house, will reduce the company's dependence on importing rare earth elements.
