Ola Electric Scouts For 100 Acres To Build World's Largest E-Scooter Facility
India, Nov. 3 -- Bengaluru-based emobility giant Ola Electric is looking for 100 acres of unencumbered land to build the world's largest e-scooter facility as the company plans to launch its electric two-wheeler models globally soon.
Ola Electric wants to overtake Japanese automobile maker Honda, which currently operates the world's largest scooter manufacturing site in Gujarat. The plant manufactures nearly 1.2 Mn fossil fuel-powered vehicles annually. The development was first reported by TOI.
Launched in 2019 by Ola as an independent entity, Ola Electric is said to be running several pilots involving charging solutions, battery swapping stations, and deploying vehicles across two, three and four-wheeler segments.
