India, July 11 -- Bengaluru commuters will soon be able to book their metro and bus tickets through mobility apps Namma Yatri and Tummoc.

The Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) and Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) have given their data access to Namma Yatri and Tummoc through general transit feed specification (GTFS) open data format. This will allow the apps to access information such as routes, schedules and associated geographic data for metro and bus bookings.

Tummoc has already made the feature live on their platform where users can book metro and bus tickets together and plan their journey. Tummoc's cofounder and chief marketing officer Monalisha Thakur said that the feature was made live yesterday...
