India, April 30 -- The Maharashtra Cabinet, led by chief minister Devendra Fadnavis, has approved the new electric vehicle (EV) policy 2025, aimed at boosting electric mobility adoption and manufacturing across the state.
The policy, which will be effective until 2030, includes a provision of INR 1,993 Cr over the next five years for its implementation.
A PTI report said that select electric vehicles plying on highways will be given a toll waiver under the new EV Policy. Besides, subsidies will also be provided on purchase of such vehicles to help in combating air pollution.
