India, July 29 -- Lenskart cofounder, CEO and MD Peyush Bansal bought shares worth INR 221.1 Cr from the company's shareholders ahead of the eyewear giant filing its DRHP with SEBI yesterday.

From July 16 to July 24, Bansal bought 4.27 Cr shares from investors like Kedara Capital, Chiratae Ventures, Alpha Wave, IDG Ventures, among others. The shares were purchased at INR 52 apiece. This translates to almost a 2.5% stake in the company.

Last year, the cofounder had sold 413K shares to Temasek subsidiary Jongsong Investment Pte Ltd at INR 2,300 apiece. The secondary round, which took place on May 10 last year, saw Lenskart cofounders Neha Bansal and Amit Chaudhary sell 4.1 Lakh shares and over 56,000 shares to Temasek, respectively. Meanw...
