India, Feb. 5 -- Union IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has reportedly said that India will build its own foundational artificial intelligence (AI) model in the next 10 months.
As per news agency PTI, Vaishnaw said that the government will make available 18,000 high-end GPU-based compute facilities for AI development to entities across the country in the next couple of days, which will enable the development of the AI model.
He added that 10,000 GPUs are already available while the remaining 8,000 compute power will be rolled out in the next few days as the tender process for the same was completed last week.
