India, Feb. 13 -- Hindustan Unilever Ltd (HUL) has acquired the remaining 49% stake in OZiva parent Zywie Ventures Pvt Ltd for Rs.824 Cr, making the plant-based nutrition brand a wholly owned subsidiary.
After informing the exchanges yesterday of its plan to approve the remaining 49% stake in OZiva, the FMCG major today said it has completed the transaction.
HUL had acquired a 51% stake in the D2C brand for Rs.264.28 Cr in December 2022, implying a valuation of around Rs.518 Cr at the time. The current transaction values OZiva at nearly Rs.1,682 Cr, more than three times its valuation in just over three years.
