India, Feb. 16 -- Travel has rebounded post-pandemic, but modern travellers who use low-tech, traditional luggage in a high-tech world are at a disadvantage. Of late, the risk of losing luggage has led to more secure features, such as anti-slash materials, digital and remote locking and tag-and-track systems. As the trend picks up, the smart luggage market in India is estimated to reach $245 Mn by 2030, at a 20% CAGR between 2025 and 2030. But despite this momentum, legacy brands rarely integrate these smart features due to high costs and the need for constant innovation.
