India, Feb. 17 -- BYJU'S parent Think & Learn Pvt Ltd (TLPL) has reportedly sought the Supreme Court (SC), challenging the order of National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT), permitting Aakash Educational Services Limited (AESL) to proceed with the second tranche of its Rs.240 Cr ($26.5 Mn) rights issue.

As per a report by Business Standard, the NCLAT's approved the order on February 3.

AESL shareholders approved a plan to increase the company's authorised share capital to accommodate the proposed rights issue in October 2025. It proposed to raise Rs.240 Cr via a rights issue structured in two portions, where Rs.100 Cr will be in the first tranche and the remaining Rs.140 Cr in the following tranche, the report said.
