India, April 15 -- Zomato-owned Blinkit has partnered with Bharti Airtel to kick off 10-minute delivery of SIM cards across 16 cities.

The service is currently available in Delhi, Gurugram, Faridabad, Sonipat, Ahmedabad, Surat, Chennai, Bhopal, Indore, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Pune, Lucknow, Jaipur, Kolkata and Hyderabad.

Blinkit cofounder and CEO Albinder Dhindsa said in a post on X, "Starting today, customers can get a SIM delivered and choose to get a new prepaid or postpaid connection, or switch their existing number to Airtel."

"Airtel has also created a new flow which allows customers to complete SIM activation with a simple self-verification using Aadhaar at home - no store visits, no paperwork," he added.
