India, Feb. 20 -- Amid the ongoing controversy surrounding the YouTube show India's Got Latent, the ministry of information and broadcasting has urged OTT players and social media platforms to adhere to the code of conduct prescribed under the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media, Ethics Code) Rules, 2021.

In a statement, the ministry said that it has received references from members of parliament, and public grievances regarding alleged spread of obscene, pornographic and vulgar content posted online by some publishers.
