IMPHAL, March 21 -- The closing function of workshop on "Thangbi Kunmari" was held today organised by Huiyen Lallong Manipur Tang-Ta Cultural Association (HLMTTCA) at its auditorium, Irilbung Imphal East, under the aegis of Sangeet Natak Akademi (SNA) New Delhi.
The programme was attended by director, Theatre Mirror, Padmashri Naba Wareppa; director HLMTTCA, K. Shanathoiba Sharma and Manipur State Kala Academy Awardee, H. Biswaroop as chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively.
Naba Wareppa in his speech noted that though Meitei is a small ethnic group but is included among the civilised societies since pre-historic period. The distinct art culture and tradition of Meitei community is known all over the world, he said.
