Manipur, Nov. 8 -- A state-level seminar on 'Women and Child Trafficking among Tribals- means of protection' was organised at tribal Research Institute Manipur, Chingmeirong Friday.
Additional chief secretary tribal affairs and hills, Manipur, Letkhogin Haokip, who was delivering the keynote address of the seminar said that people from poor family backgrounds should avoid sending their children for education and jobs outside the state as there are people taking advantage of their situation.
They lure the families and children for better education and job outside the State and force the children to other occupations, he said. Now, there are many education schemes for the poor section under the state government and the Centre, he added.
