IMPHAL, April 22 -- "The withdrawal of house guards cum escort personnel provided for NCP outer candidate, NEIDP outer candidate and former minister, O. Joy by an order released on April 19, was an act of retaliation by the ruling government following the mudslinging among political parties occured during the 17th Lok Sabha MP election."
This was stated by former minister, O. Joy today during a press meet held at Congress Bhawan. He said the order was released to withdraw the 10 armed 2nd IRB personnel provided for NCP outer candidate, Angam Karung Kom, 15 armed 7th IRB personnel provided for NEIDP outer candidate, Ashang Kasar, and eight armed 7MR personnel given to him by April 20.
