Manipur, June 26 -- A combined team of Imphal East District Police Commandos along with troops of 15 AR arrested an active member of PREPAK (PRO) from the southern side of Khurai Chairenthong during a frisking and checking operation conducted at the area on June 22, claimed a release from PRO (Police).
The arrested individual has been identified as Tongbram Bikash Meitei alias Yumlemba, 22, son of T. Jiban Meitei of Thanga Tongbram Leikai Keibul at present residing at Wangkhei Palace Compound, Porompat. An amount of Rs 40,000 along with other incriminating articles was seized from his possession. A case has been registered against Tongbram Bikash at Porompat-PS and investigations have already begun, it added.
