Manipur, June 13 -- A truck bearing registration number MN01-7218 along with the driver and helper were handed over to the divisional forest officer of Tuibong for further necessary action.

A team of Churachandpur Police seized a truck loaded with timber on Saturday at Munlai village in Churanchandpur.

Following a tip off from a reliable source about illegal transportation of timber in Henglep sub-division, a team of Churachandpur police led by SDPO of Thanlon and OC of Henglep carried out surprise checking on Saturday and seized a truck loaded with timber.

The truck bearing registration number MN01-7218 along with the driver and helper were handed over to the divisional forest officer of Tuibong for further necessary action.
