IMPHAL, Aug. 24 -- As an intensifying step against the non fulfillment of the long standing demand of Schedule Tribe Demand Committee Manipur (STDCM), the committee has resolved to ban railway projects from September 6 if state government fails to declare their concrete action to be taken up before or after upcoming assembly session, which is schedule to be held on August 26 and 27.
In a press conference held today at its office, Ima Khunthokhanbi premises located inside DM College campus, president of the committee, Dhiraj Yumnam said that committee has been demanding the state government for the inclusion of Meetei/Meitei in Scheduled Caste list from 2012.
