Manipur, July 1 -- The Naga Students' Federation (NSF) on Tuesday stated that the recent letter written by the governor of Nagaland RN Ravi to the state chief minister Neiphiu Rio has portrayed the torchbearers of the Naga movement in bad light.

In a release, the NSF argued that Naga movement for self-determination is a mass based assertion for the Naga people's legitimate rights to be respected by any forces that stand to oppose it. This century old people's movement culminated in the government of India officially recognising the unique history and situation of the Nagas.
