IMPHAL, March 20 -- President of Indian National Congress, Rahul Gandhi today paid floral tributes to Sahid Minar, which is one of the monuments erected in honour of the departed souls of Manipur's patriots.
Rahul Gandhi came to address the election rally to be held at Hapta Kangjeibung on Wednesday. He landed at Imphal International airport at about 4.50 pm on Tuesday, after visiting Arunachal Pradesh in the afternoon. It is said that he will further head for Agartala after tomorrow's election rally.
He paid floral tributes at Sahid Minar, accompanied by state Congress party leader, Okram Ibobi; state Congress president, Gaikhangam; and other MLAs of the party.
