CHURACHANDPUR, April 24 -- Polling personnel of the 17th Lok Sabha poll 2019 from Churachandpur and Pherzawl districts today refused to take their due honorariums for training conducted prior to the polls on April 11 stating that the District Election Officer (DEO) had been offering them much less amounts compared to other districts or that fixed by the ECI.
The polling personals said that they had tried to meet the DEO /DC of Churachandpur but were denied the privilege. "After which we decided to convene a meeting on April 24 to discuss further courses of action as we felt humiliated," they continued while also mentioning that the allotment of honorarium for one Presiding Officer was Rs.350 per day and Rs.250 per day for Polling Officer 1...
