Manipur, Nov. 17 -- Education in hill areas of Manipur remains a challenging and concerning area in the absence of proper infrastructure and qualified or trained teachers. Students continue to suffer in their struggle for quality education. In view of it, efforts are being made to enhance the quality of education in hilly Kamjong district. As a part of the efforts, an inter-school literary meet was held at the district HQ where several students took part and benefited from it.

The inter-school literary meet called Oasis, organised by the Gemson Haorei Trust, was held on Saturday at Kamjong with the theme 'Education First'. Competitions in quiz, debate, extempore speech, painting, spelling bee and essay were carried out. Around 350 people...
