Manipur, June 26 -- NSCN - IM has expressed condolences over the demise of major (Posthumous) Purtoshi Nokdir, army No. AB- 11413 of Hevuto Battalion, Naga Army, son of (L) Bendang Nokdir from Molung Yimsen village under Ao Region on June 23 after a prolonged illness.
A release issued by ministry of publicity, stated that he joined the Naga national service on March 3, 1992. He served the Naga nation with unwavering national spirit until his demise, it said. For his selfless services rendered to the Naga nation, his name shall be recorded in the pages of the Naga history and his sacrifices ever be cherished, it stated.
