Manipur, Nov. 8 -- Former MLA RK Anand of Naoriya Pakhanglakpa assembly constituency has resigned from the North East India Development Party (NEIDP). He was serving as the state vice president of the regional party.

Speaking to the media Friday at his Kwakeithel Akham Leikai Imphal residence, Anand said he resigned from the regional party as it has allegedly failed to move a step ahead from other political parties despite its support on the ongoing public movement in connection to the Naga peace talks.
