Meghalaya CM Conrad Sangma inaugurates India's longest road arch bridge
Manipur, Jan. 22 -- The Wahrew Bridge will connect Bholaganj and Sohbar with Nongjri which is located about 39 km from the state capital Shillong.
India's longest road arch bridge - Wahrew Bridge - was inaugurated by Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma at Sohbar village in East Khasi Hills district of Meghalaya on Friday.
Taking to Twitter, the chief minister said that the bridge, built over the Wahrew river at Tharia, Sohbar village in the state, will connect Bholaganj and Sohbar with Nongjri which is located about 39 km from the state capital Shillong.
Sangma said that the bridge was constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 49.395 crore under the Non-Lapsable Central Pool of Resources (NLCPR) of the Development of North East Region ...
