Manipur, July 11 -- The Manipur government on Friday extended lockdown and curfew in the entire state till July 31 as it recorded the highest single day spike in COVID-19 cases with as many as 132 more people being confirmed COVID-19 positive in the last 24 hours since Thursday. With this highest single day spike, the cumulative number of positive cases in the state has jumped to 1,582.

In view of the latest developments, the state government has amended the lockdown guidelines issued on June 30 and imposed a complete curfew from 6 pm to 5 am in the entire state till July 31 or until further orders following the Union Home Ministry suggestions.
