IMPHAL, Oct. 16 -- "The state of Manipur is for all and the ancestral land belongs to no particular community; the misunderstanding between the communities and state government that may affect people's sentiments will also be solved soon."
Chief secretary, Suresh Babu stated this today at a press meet held at the conference hall of Old Secretariat located at Babupura, Imphal. He also stated that the government had already issued order to remove the words 'In defence of our ancestor land and freedom' scripted on the memorial stones erected during the Anglo-Kuki War Centenary commemorations and also to remove the stones erected in different villages.
