The Manipur High Court to take up suo-moto case against one Manipur Public Service Commission (MPSC) candidate, 2016 Tongbram Bimolchand for allegedly using contemptuous statement against the high court judges at a live discussion programme of a local news channel on November 3.

The suo-moto type is 'criminal contempt' against Bimolchand for his statement made during the discussion held on the topic 'MPSC aspirants unhappy over government inaction on agenda Manipur.'

The programme was hosted by anchor, K Saratchandra. The other two guests who took part in the programme are spokesperson of group of aspirants, Keisham Kishan and MU associate professor, Chinglen Meisnam.
