Manipur, March 26 -- A joint operation by a combined team comprising Imphal East District Police, 22 Assam Rifles and G/4 Bn. CRPF conducted cordon and search operation on Tuesday at 8.30 ambased on a reliable input at the foothill of Utonglok village under Sagolmang PS, Imphal East district, Manipur and recovered arms and hand grenades.

The recovered weapons are one 9 mm US-made M-1 carbine machine gun, one tear gas gun, five live rounds of 9 mm ammunition, one tear gas shell, nine nos. of fired tear gas shells, and three nos. of 36 HE hand grenades.
