Lok Sabha Election 2024 Phase 2: 76 per cent voter turnout recorded in Outer Manipur
Manipur, April 26 -- Polling for the Phase II Outer Manipur Parliamentary Constituency across 13 assembly constituencies spanning eight hill districts in the state concluded peacefully with 76.06 per cent voter turnout on Friday, although an isolated incident of booth capturing took place at few polling stations in Ukhrul district.
While senior citizens and first time voters were seen exercising their franchise in Tamenglong district, Kukis came out in large numbers to vote in Kamjong district.
However, zero voters turned out at three polling stations, namely P/S-49/68 Taphou Kuki, P/S-49/69 Changoubung and P/S-49/75-A, B Kotlen located at Kuki inhabited areas in Senapati district.
