Manipur, Nov. 16 -- Melody queen Lata Mangeshkar, who has been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit of Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai, is "doing good", according to a family spokesperson on Saturday.

The iconic singer who turned 90 on September 28, was hospitalised for viral chest congestion in the early hours of Monday.

"Lata didi is doing good today," her PR team said in a statement.

Mangeshkar, has sung over 30,000 songs and recorded songs in over 36 Indian languages in her over seven-decade long career.

The legendary Singer received India's highest civilian honour - the Bharat Ratna, in 2001.
