IMPHAL, Oct. 15 -- Kuki Inpi Manipur (KIM) has appealed the State government to immediately review its order to remove the 'Anglo Kuki War' centenary commemoration stone by villagers.

Briefing media personnel at Manipur Press Club today, chairman of Anglo Kuki War Centenary Commemoration Committee, Jangmang Haokip stated that there is an apprehension whether the state government is dictated by a particular organisation.

KIM made the clarification in the aftermath of Tangkhul Naga Long objection to the phrase engraved in the commemoration stone and also the state government order to district administrators on October 13 to remove the commemoration stones erected by the villagers.
