Manipur, Aug. 21 -- Chief Judicial Magistrate, Imphal East has remanded Sapam Kangleipal Meetei, who escaped from JN security ward on July 21, 2008, into five days further police custody till August 24.
Sapam Kangleipal was granted six days transit remand by the court of CJM, Patna in connection to the case file against him at Lamphel police station, Imphal. He was brought at Imphal by flight on August 10 up to Kolkatta and brought to Imphal by flight on August 11. He was produced at CJM, Imphal East with a prayer of six days police custody for thorough interrogation.
