Manipur, July 11 -- The Chassad battalion of 10 Sector Assam Rifles distributed 50 Solar Lamps to Kamjong quarantine centre on Saturday, said a release issued by IGAR (South).

The Kamjong quarantine centre, being set up in a limited time frame, lacks basic amenities like electricity and water supply, it said. The inmates of the centre were facing hardships due to frequent power cuts for the past 2-3 months, it added.

The Chassad battalion distributed the solar lamps in an attempt to minimise the hardships of the centre, the release said.
