Manipur, June 22 -- "Manipur culture and its heritage need to be rediscovered with documentation and research works as its indigenous forms have been suffering a gradual deterioration by mixing with other forms."
State commissioner, Art and Culture, M. Lakshmikumar Singh stated this in his address as chief guest of the International Music Day celebration held today at the auditorium of Jawaharlal Nehru Manipur Dance Academy (JNMDA), Imphal.
He said, "Manipur University of Culture is suffering from setbacks though it was established in the state for last few years; and the government needs to look after the lack of infrastructure in the university."
