Manipur, Nov. 19 -- Indira Gandhi, also known as the Iron Lady and the only woman Prime Minister of India, is fondly remembered on her 102nd birth anniversary on Tuesday. Leaders across parties paid tribute to India's second longest serving Prime Minister after her father and India's first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru.

Indira Gandhi was born to Jawaharlal Nehru and Kamala Nehru on November 19, 1917 in Allahabad. She served as India's prime minister from January 1966 to March 1977 and from January 1980.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, paying tribute to Indira Gandhi, tweeted, "Tributes to our former PM Smt. Indira Gandhi Ji on her birth anniversary."

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh paid his respect to Indira Gandhi and tweeted, "On her ...
